Defective Sensor

I was really excited to finally get the MPU9250 sensor from Amazon after they have screwed up my order big time. Then I spent 2 days trying to figure out my accelerometers didn't work. I've tried everything. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING . All of the possible tutorials, all variations of the sensor, all of the discord discussion servers, even tried on Arduino. GEE-ZUZ! Basically, the sensor turned out to be defective. :) Update: Drove to MicroCenter since they claimed to have potential replacement sensors, which as you can probably guess weren't there. The whole store was a mess, looked as if employees were raiding the store.

Update

Nothing much happened on the longboard side. Since improving the blog capability, I am still waiting on the new MPU9250 sensor which Amazon keeps me trolling with by changing the delivery time and date. On a different note, I have finally opened up a bit to veganism and its arguments, which haven't exactly convinced me yet, and I believe to have found some logical flaws in them, but the fact of the matter is, that it should only take 1 good argument to be convinced, and they definitely seem to have some potentially good points to be considered, like for example contribution to Climate Change, arbitrary elements in human-animal distinction, and a moral question of minimizing unnecessary suffering. So yeah, something to think about. I have also done my first Pull Request to someone else's big project, which is cool. What else..? Oh yeah, Andrew Yang now has a podcast, so check it out! The format is still a bit strange, but the content seems promising.

Wow?

Wow Did that just happen?

  1. Coffee
  2. Tea
  3. Milk
print("Hello\n Wolrd!")
Hello
World!

Yes, I've basically implemented a (fake) markdown. However, since I'm special, only I get this power. Hehe

Potential Breakthrough!

Just purchased a new sensor MPU9250 for the board which I think will solve the problems of rough terrain and such because it has an additional built-in compass which would give me 3 new dimensions to work with. I have also FINALLY purchased an Hdmi Mini adapter in order to program like a human being and not over ssh every time. However, this means that I'll need to install full Raspbian Version and not the Light one, which means that I'll need to move and reconfigure the system from scratch. And while this thought is terrifying, I have realized that going over these "high activation energies" (chemists in the audience will appreciate) is almost always worth it because they free up possibilities, and make it easier for good habits to form. Cheers

Updates of This thing and That thing

First of all, I was considering removing (or hiding) the whole "social media" portion of this website since in some way it didn't make sense to have it. BUT. Now there is AT LEAST one other human being, Devon The Great Zeek, who used it! Not only that, but he also used it in an expected way i.e. by leaving a praising comment about how awesome I am and how amazing my work is. Just kidding, I expected total ANARCHY. (I should really add Markdown to these posts). Anyway, what does it mean for me? It means that I now have a thing I feared the most, an audience with a NAME. You see, for some reason, I felt no pressure blogging to an Anonymous audience. It's very similar to how people ride trains in Russia. Huh? Yes, for some reason, trains in Russia have this mystical property which allows strangers to tell one another stories of their lives. No filters whatsoever. And I think it's very similar to anonymity. BUT this trip ends for me TODAY. Which is a good thing, because I never intended to ride with strangers forever. What now? Well, Devon, if you are indeed a real person and not a marketing bot (which I fought quite a lot in the last couple of weeks, so it's possible that you are just a more advanced version, i.e. SKYNET), you are now representing the whole internet community, so your words will be treated as such. How does this pressure feel!? And remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Also, I should have made it easier to address people, but oh well. Now the Longboard, 2 words: Machine Learning and Bluetooth. Enough said, back to work.
